State House Tours

Senator Moore encourages Second Worcester District residents to take advantage of free tours of the Massachusetts State House.  Tours are offered by the Secretary of the Commonwealth’s office and are led by knowledgeable guides.

Tours include visits to the Senate and House chambers, the State Library and many other historic areas of the building.  Access to the President John F. Kennedy statue outside the front of the building, which had been barred since September 11, 2001, was restored in 2015 and is available for viewing April through October.

Tours are available weekdays from 10:00AM to 3:30PM and last approximately 30-45 minutes.  Those who are unable to visit the State House in person may access a virtual tour of the building on the Legislature’s website by clicking here.  To schedule a tour, you may complete the Tour Request Form below or contact the tours desk directly at (617) 727-3676.

The building is more than just the center of state government, it’s a living museum.
